The Usui Reiki system was created by Dr. Mikao Usui in Japan and is administered by "laying of hands." Though the Reiki system originated in Japan, many cultures have practiced hands-on healing methods, so it can be considered a universal healing method. The modality can be easily adapted to remote sessions since energy has no boundaries.
Reiki is a natural form of healing that creates a beneficial effect and can work with other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery. Incorporating Reiki alongside other modalities can be another resource to medical and therapeutic professionals, yoga and movement teachers, parents, and/or anyone whose work is to care for others.

Karuna is a Sanskrit word and is used in Hinduism and Buddhism. It is translated to mean any action that is taken to diminish the suffering of others and could also be translated as "compassionate action."
At this level, the practitioner is consciously co-creating with all the Reiki symbols they’ve been attuned to within the sessions vs. just channeling Universal Life Force energy through their hands. The Ka in Karuna, means "compassionate action" in Sanskrit, deepens your connection with Reiki by allowing conscious co-creation with all attuned symbols. Available only to those attuned to Holy Fire III Master Reiki, this level enhances healing power, clears karma, and facilitates profound spiritual growth.

I had completed Usui / Holy Fire III Reiki Levels 1 & 2 and SER Reiki Level 1 with Reina previously. I really enjoyed the opportunity to learn more and deepen my practice through SER Reiki Level 2. This course allowed me to learn how to incorporate shamanic elements in my Reiki practice at a more comprehensive level. I feel these practices will allow me to provide more depth and balance to my Reiki sessions. I found learning to connect to the soul essence especially impactful for my practice. This course impacted my Reiki practice in a profound way.
